The story of the series is about how a robot cat of the 22^nd century is sent to help a young boy named Nobita Nobi who was always bullied by two boys of his classmates named Takeshi Goda ( mostly called “Gian”) and  Suneo Honekawa.

Why Doraemon was Sent to Nobita?

Nobita was bullied by Suneo and Gian, due to his poor grades and whiny nature. He went crying to his mom to complain about his two classmates how they bullied him at the school.

For this reason, Doraemon was sent to help Nobita. He was asked to make him strong and make him capable to fight against his weakness.

In one of the movie, it shows that Doraemon was sent to Nobita for taking care of him by Nobita’s future grandson, Sewashi Nobi.

Doraemon

Doraemon is a robot cat who has a fourth-dimensional pocket on his stomach. The pocket consists of various futuristic gadgets and many weird tools.

These gadgets are from the 22nd century’s departmental store. His main motto of sending to Nobita was to help him to get rid of being bullied by his friends and to make him brave through Doraemon’s various gadgets. The favorite food of Doraemon was Dora Cakes. We can say that Dora cake was Doraemon’s weakness.

Nobita Nobi

Nobita Nobi is a lazy, cry baby and unlucky by nature. He was very poor in his studies. Due to poor grades, he was always being bullied by two of his classmates named Suneo Honekawa & Takeshi Goda mostly called by his nickname “Gian”. Nobita was always scolded by his mom for getting zero in his class test.

Nobita was not fond of studies. Whenever he starts to study he end up with a good sleep within a few minutes. He used to daydream a lot.

He remains very polite and soft with his friend Shizuka. Shizuka was his classmate and also helps him with his studies. Nobita likes her a lot as she is a very beautiful and calm girl.

Shizuka Minamoto

Shizuka is shown as a very clever, beautiful, and kind-hearted girl. She can play very good piano. Shizuka always remains nice to others and have a helping nature. She was excellent in her studies and also sometimes she helps nobita in her studies. Shizuka becomes Nobita’s wife in the future.

Suneo Honekawa

Among Nobita’s classmates, Suneo is the richest kid among all. He loves to flaunt his expensive stuff among others and walks with an arrogant attitude. Suneo has a great collection of video games, which he used to impress all of his friends.

His father always buys him expensive remote control gadgets. Suneo makes Nobita feel very jealous of him. His best friend is Gian. They both mostly spend time together playing suneo’s video game or remote control toys. They together used to bully Nobita.

Takeshi Goda (“Gian”)

Takeshi Goda is mostly called by his nickname Gian. Gian is a fat, strong, and high tempered boy. He is fond of singing. He thinks that he sings so well but in reality, nobody likes to hear songs from him.

His voice is too terrible which can make others deaf. He has a younger sister named Jakio who is very good at nature painting. Gian is the baseball leader of this group.

He always founds playing baseball or harassing other children. He has a habit of stealing other children’s toys and broke them into pieces.

His mom always gets angry after hearing his mischief. She used to beat him a lot to make him a better boy. Gian used to bully Nobita with Suneo and also sometimes beats him a lot to stress-out his anger of losing a baseball match.

Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur

This is the first movie of the Doraemon manga series. There is a total of 3 series of Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur. The first series was launched in 1980, the second in 2006, and the third in 2020.

The story starts where Suneo gets a fossil of a dinosaur claw and shows it to everyone except Nobita. Nobita being angry tells Doraemon to help him to get him also a dinosaur claw.

After being refused by Doraemon he started digging on a hillside in search of fossils of a dinosaur claw. And from here the story of the movie get’s started.

Doraemon: Nobita’s Secret Gadget Museum

Once Nobita was daydreaming about how to solve the mystery of Kaito Lupin, thinking of himself as Sherlock. However, suddenly he gets awake and then the rest of the story of the movie begins.

Doraemon: Nobita and the Legend of the Sun King

This movie is an alteration of the story of The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain and Snow White. It is on how two characters switch places.

Doraemon: Nobita and the legend of the Sun King was one of the successful films among the Doraemon Movies. The movie collected total revenue of $32 million becoming the highest-grossing Doraemon movie.

Doraemon: Stand by Me (2014)

This movie was a very successful anime movie in Japan. It stood in the number one position on the box office charts for the second highest-earning Japanese Anime movie in 2014. A total of $196.4 million of revenue was collected through this movie. This movie is worth watching. This movie stands 1st in my favorite Doraemon anime movie list among all.

Doraemon: Nobita’s Dorabian Nights

The movie is about once nobita and Doraemon were experiencing the tale of Sinbad of the Arabian Nights from a storybook which was initially one of the gadgets of Doraemon.

Nobita being bored by watching it from outside calls Shizuka to accompany her and both of them entered the storybook. When they were going out from the storybook Shizuka got attacked by Sinbad’s flying carpet and falls into the desert.

Doraemon Stand By Me

Doraemon stands by me is a Japanese 3D animated fiction comedy-drama film based on the Doraemon manga series. It was released on 8 August 2014 and it had gained the title of the highest-grossing film of the Doraemon movie series. This movie was being dubbed in the English language and It was premiered on Bang Zoom Entertainment at the Tokyo International Film Festival on 24 October 2014. Doraemon stands by me was number one on the box office charts for five consecutive weeks and was the second-highest-grossing Japanese anime film of 2014 in Japan.

This anime movie is based on how a fifth-grader boy named Nobita Nobi who constantly gets zero grades in his subjects due to his laziness and how he is always being bullied by his classmates Suneo Honekawa and  Takeshi Goda mostly know as “Gian” that how he got the future robot named Doraemon and for what reason Doraemon was provided to him.

Nobita’s great-great-grandson from the 22nd century, Sewashi who watches him every day from the future feels bad for his great great grandfather. He wanted Nobita to fight back all his problems and to be strong, confident, smart & intelligent so that he won’t suffer in his future time and also his future generation won’t get suffered due to his past behavior. Also, Sewashi reveals that if Nobita keeps up his act, he will have to disastrous future where he will marry Gian’s sister Jaiko, have his private company burned down, and will be left with a great debt. So Sewashi doesn’t want to suffer his future due to the mistakes done by his great-great-grandfather.

So Sewashi travels to Nobita’s timeline through his time-travel gadgets made in the future to give him his robotic cat named Doraemon. Doraemon was given to Nobita to help him with his problems and to improve him.

Doraemon was given ordered by Sewashi that not to introduce his gadgets until Nobita is in need of it. Doraemon was ordered to help Nobita through his gadgets but not to misuse that gadget. Though Doraemon warns Nobita not to be too dependent on his gadgets, Nobita asks Doraemon to help him woo his crush Shizuka Minamoto whom Doraemon reveals is the one Nobita will marry if his future is corrected. However, all his efforts end up making Shizuka become closer to a brilliant student one of his classmates, Hidetoshi Dekisugi.

This movie has shown how Doraemon helps out with all Nobita’s problems through his futuristic gadgets and also Doraemon had helped Nobita to get closer with Shizuka so that in the future they can marry each other which can make a better future for Nobita and also his next generations.

Due to some situation occurred where Shizuka said yes to marry Nobita. It means that Shizuka will indeed marry Nobita. Also, Shizuka’s father accepted Nobita as his daughter’s spouse. Then after this Nobita and Doraemon return to the present timeline, where Nobita visits Shizuka declaring that he will make her happy whatever it takes.

As Nobita’s future has been changed for the better, Doraemon’s programming commands him to return to the future in 48 hours. But Doraemon was very tensed for Nobita and also got emotional while leaving as they have been together for past years. In one scene of the movie after Doraemon had left Nobita, it was an April fool month, Gian tricked Nobita by believing him that Doraemon has returned. In anger, he drinks a solution provided by Doraemon given to him which the opposite of everything the consumer says comes true. Finishing his retribution against Suneo and Gian , Nobita goes back home while lamenting that Doraemon will never return. Meanwhile, suddenly Doraemon returns and tells Nobita that he has gotten permission to stay with hom because Nobita said that Doraemon would never return, still with the effects of the potion, and it became  a truth.
