Below mentioned are some of the gems which you might have never heard of. But trust me you won’t regret watching those Web Series. Those are available on Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, Disney+ Hotstar.
I Know This Much is True
Starring: Mark Ruffalo, John Procaccino, Melissa Leo, Rob Huebel, etc.
Directed by: Derek Cianfrance
Genre: Family-Drama
Platform: Disney+ Hotstar (Premium)
This series shows the parallel lives of identical twin brothers in an epic story of betrayal, sacrifice, and forgiveness. The complexity of this particular family dynamic is intense, yet the show manages to balance both sensitivity and brutality. The show consists of 1 season- 6 episodes (each of approx. 1 hour).
Mark Ruffalo portrays a double role (Identical Twins) and, trust me it’s the best performance given by him to date. He plays both characters so distinctively that you forget it’s two Mark Ruffalo’s. The production itself is top-notch. I am sure this series will take you on an Emotional rollercoaster.
The Haunting of Hill House
Starring: Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, etc.
Directed by: Mike Flanagan
Genre: Supernatural Horror Drama
Platform: Netflix
The Haunting of Hill House is a horror drama web series. The series explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in a house that became the most famous Haunted house in the country. The cinematography of the series is just mind-blowing, I have never seen such a great Horror masterpiece.
The storytelling of this series is amazing. Making this show a Horror metaphor through a ghost story was so brilliant. Not only Flanagan adapted one of the most heart touching horror tales I’ve ever seen but he took the genre to my favorite side of the spectrum where the horror is hidden between Trauma, Mortality, Regrets, Lose strings of Family, all tied up into a masterpiece of Technical and Emotional storytelling.
Gangs of London
Starring: Joe Cole, Sope Dirisu, Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, etc.
Directed by: Gareth Evens, Corin Hardy & Xavier Gens
Genre: Gangster-Drama
Platform: Amazon Prime (US)
Gangs of London is a British Gangster drama television series. The sow tells us the story of London being torn apart by the struggles of its International gangs and the sudden power vacuum created due to the assassination of the head of the most powerful crime family. The writing and direction of cinematography were of Big screen level. The story packs with a lot of twists and surprises along the way to maintain suspense.
This show really pulls you in with its perplexing aura from the very first episode and holds you till the end. It’s a blast of absolutely stunning and never watched action sequences. I ensure you a great experience if you are into Action-drama.
Succession
Starring: Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, etc.
Directed by: Mark Mylod
Genre: Dark Satirical Drama
Platform: Disney+ Hotstar (Premium)
Succession gives the best example of why you should always keep business and family separate. It’s one of the most cunning, gripping, and psychologically abusive drama show. The story unfolds without any special effects/fights, blood, or gore. The battle of family occurs inside and outside of the Boardroom. It includes the family dynamic with silly arguments and competitiveness between the siblings.
Season 1 more about setting up the character and base but Season 2 is where the whole story is taken to whole another level. The character introduced in the story is unique and intriguing. The script is brilliant and the actors have done their best to put Life in it. Cinematography, BGM, and the Production value is just pure Gold.
The Season 2 finale is just mind-blowing and so unpredictable. I am sure that this show will give you some values about life. Highly recommended to all who are reading this Blog.

The Pacific
Starring: Joseph Mazzello, James Badge Dale, Jon Seda , etc.
Directed by: Tim Van Patten, David Nutter, Jeremy Podeswa, Graham Yost
Genre: Historical War Drama
Platform: Disney+ Hotstar (Premium)
The Pacific is based on an incredible true story of War between the U.S Marine Corps against the Japanese Empire during World War 2. The show covers the story of three U.S Marines – Robert Leckie, John Basilone, and Eugene Sledge. This series has the same DNA as Band of Brothers. This series focuses more on the Barbarity of the Pacific conflict and the loss of the American soldiers’ humanity when faced with an enemy.
The Pacific’s understanding of War than Band of Brothers: War is terrible, it forces people to dedicate all their faculties for killing people for a cause. Due to the character focus, The Pacific gives a fuller understanding of how individuals confront war and their place in it. This makes The Pacific more Real and Devastating.
The Pacific conveys a balanced portrait of Military service and sacrifice. I make sure that in the end you will feel Empty and would really change your thinking perspective for War.
The Terror
Starring: Jared Harris, Tobias Menzies, Paul Ready, Adam Nagaitis, etc.
Directed by: David Kajganich
Genre: Supernatural Drama Thriller
Platform: Amazon Prime
The Terror is based on the 2007’s best-selling novel of the same name, by Dan Simmons. The storytelling of season 1 is spectacular. The overall plot is terrific and the amazing cinematography and direction bring it to Life. How far one can go for survival, this series breaks all civic society’s parameters of our common knowledge for the life. The production design is really a masterpiece of sophisticated suspense and intense psychology.
The second season is a bit long but it did a fine job. If you start watching it, it becomes more and more tempting. I really think that The Terror is an underrated gem that packs Arctic expedition, Behavioral dynamics, Politics, hunger, fatigue, Hallucination! Give it a shot you won’t regret.
